Pushkarini Lakshmikanth, a student of St. Mary’s ISC, has been awarded the prestigious Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship to pursue Life Sciences (Co-op) at the University of Toronto—Canada’s #1 university and ranked #17 globally by U.S. News & World Report.
The scholarship, valued at ₹2.22 crores, covers her full tuition, accommodation, and living expenses for the entire duration of her undergraduate program.
Transitioning from a CBSE background, Pushkarini’s success challenges the widespread misconception that ISC is too demanding for students from other boards. At St. Mary’s ISC, stories like hers are common—because every student is guided, not generalized.
“We don’t push every student into engineering or medicine,” says Mr. Gerald Lobo, Chairman at St. Mary’s ISC. “We guide them based on their unique potential—whether it’s neuroscience, law, entrepreneurship, or design. Pushkarini’s journey reflects what’s possible when students are supported, not steered.”
At St. Mary’s ISC, learning is built on concept clarity, personalized mentorship, and exposure to global opportunities—preparing students not just for exams, but for life.
